What we have been up to.

A very special visitor...

Receptionpupil on: What we have been up to.

Today we had a very special visitor all the way from the North Pole! He said he had received all of our letters and gave us a gift! Unfortunately he couldn't stay long as we could hear the reindeer on the roof ready to go!

Snowman and Snow dog buddy day!

Receptionpupil on: What we have been up to.

Today we joined our Year 3 buddies for a Snowman and Snow dog themed morning! We worked well with our buddies to help us complete some very tricky crafts! We made marshmallow snowmen, played snowman drive and made snowmen from cotton wool!

Remembrance Day

Receptionpupil on: What we have been up to.

This week we have been making poppies to remember those who fought for our country. We used sponges to create the sky and grass background then used our fine motor skills to scrunch up tissue paper to make poppy heads. Some of us even used our own ideas to make our own poppies during area time!

Autumn

Receptionpupil on: What we have been up to.

Over the last two weeks we have been exploring outdoors to learn about how living things change throughout the year. We learnt that trees loose their leaves in autumn and they turn orange because they are dead. We collected lots of autumn materials including pine cones, conkers and colourful leaves and had great fun using them as part of our maths and craft activities. We also used some of the leftover materials to make this huge autumn collage.

Super Me!

Receptionpupil on: What we have been up to.

Over the summer we collected items to help the adults in school get to know us and our interests. On our first week in Reception we showed our 'All about me' boxes to our new friends and teachers. We then made paper plate faces of ourselves to show we are all unique!
