In Autumn term we held a week which helped us all to learn about how to keep ourselves and others safe with regard to our rights in the UNICEF Children's Charter. We learned about refugees, the right to have safe water, internet safety, children who live in unsafe conditions like the favelas and rubbish dumps, food waste and safety, walking safety and much more! Each class worked with lots of different teachers and produced some fabulous work. Have a look at our brilliant corridor displays in school to find out more, or why not watch our KS2 pupils sing the 'Short walk to freedom' water song now!

Safety week was very important; we learned about keeping ourselves safe in the real and virtual worlds in addition to learning about how to manage personal risk. We've launched some new OPAL equipment on the playgrounds recently so we know safety is key; both in school and at home.

These displays linked to our Global Awareness Week. Each class worked with every teacher to find out more about issues in our world. We were very proud of our efforts - do you like our work?
