Witton Gilbert Nursery is an independent nursery operating within Witton Gilbert Primary School. From September 2018 we have been operating on a smaller scale but we have our own designated outdoor space making for more flexible learning. We work within the guidelines of Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Offering Early Years Education to 3 and 4 year olds.
Witton Gilbert Nursery is OUTSTANDING – OFSTED June 2016
The nursery takes children from the term after they are 3 years old, where vacancies are available. We offer the 15 hours of free nursery education every 3 year old is entitled to but also if you child is entitled to 30 hours of nursery education we are offering 20 hours per week which could increase depending on availability. Our sessions for 15 hours runs from 9 – 12 and 12 – 3, sessions for the 30 hours are 8 – 12 and 12 – 4.
Children’s details can be placed on our waiting list during the academic year that your child turns 2 years old. Please email or phone with the following details:
- Name of child
- Full postal address, including postcode.

You will be contacted the term before your child is due to attend nursery, this will allow us to make arrangements and share information about day-to-day processes before your child begins their learning journey.
